Meilian Justice, LMT
Meilian was introduced to massage after a serious car accident led to a year of chiropractic and physical therapy. After this healing experience, she enrolled in the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, California and graduated in 2002.
Throughout her massage career, she has worked in various jobs including being a caregiver, bartender, office worker and received her BFA in painting in 2009. As an empathetic person, she understands just how much sitting at a desk, being stressed over finals, recovering from an injury/grief and working a physically demanding job can cause strain on the body.
She believes that deep tissue can be a relaxing experience and self care is accessible to everyone. She likes to incorporate different techniques with breathwork, stretching, and visualization, to be personalized to the client’s needs to help release physical and emotional pain. Her experience as a Zen Buddhist practitioner and registered yoga instructor, aid in accomplishing this combination well.
Her style of massage has been described as a deep tissue massage with yoga-like stretching with the flow and meditativeness of qigong.
In her free time she enjoys riding her bike, oil painting, yoga, meditation, picnics, swimming,
drinking tea in the forest and reading with cats.
